Native Instruments Announces Kontrol S4
If you've been waiting for the perfect all in one controller for Traktor, it has finally arrived. Yeah and at $999 bucks, it better be down right amazing. If it ws priced more reasonably at say $399 or $499 i might consider it but its way over my price point. Looks pretty sick though if you just want to do some serious djing.

NI Massive Tutorials by Trifonic
Trifonic: Synthesis with NI's Massive - Part 1 from Next Step Audio on Vimeo.
Trifonic: Synthesis with NI's Massive - Part 2 from Next Step Audio on Vimeo.
Here are 2 great tutorials for Native Instrument's MASSIVE soft synth. It is an amazing synth that produces very wide analog style sounds. Widely used in a lot of dubstep / electro kits, I like it for its warm less square wave sounds as well. This is a good tutorial as MASSIVE is a very complex synth.

RBMA Video Archive
In some ways the whole Red Bull sponsorship of dance culture is pretty gross... on the other hand, its pretty impressive how far they have gone to actually support the artists/producers and promoters to make music happen. How many club nights have you seen sponsored by Red Bull. Surprisingly, they setup the Red Bull Music Academy way back in 1998 as a platform for education and traveling workshops for future music artists.
You have to apply to become accepted but its a pretty amazing experience from what I have heard. Some of the current artists that are really pushin the envelope went to the RBMA. For two weeks, 60 selected participants - producers, vocalists, DJs, instrumentalists, and allround musical mavericks from all around the globe - come together to check gear, chat on tunes, play in clubs, get a rare glimpse into local musical hybrids in a different country, swap musical visions in the studio, and discover closely-guarded secrets of mixing desk magic - straight from those who started revolutions in sound.
If you produce or are just truly interested in the people and ideas behind the music, you should really checkout their RBMA Video Archive. They have recorded upwards of 250 lectures/sessions and its free to the public. Artists as diverse as Kode9, Martyn, A Guy Called Gerald, ?uestLove, Alex Smoke and so much more. There is such a rich history and musicology to dance music its awesome to get really get into it and understand it more.
